The Boat Race 2026
Putney to Mortlake
The world-famous Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Race returns to Putney, with around 200,000 spectators expected along the Thames. Free to watch from the riverbank. Broadcast live on Channel 4.
Happy Streets Festival
Thessaly Road, Nine Elms
The free family arts festival returns with live performances, dance and circus workshops, pizza-making, craft sessions, sports activities and live music.
Cultural Heritage Month
Borough-wide

Borough of Culture Legacy
Wandsworth was the Mayor of London's Borough of Culture from April 2025 to March 2026, delivering a spectacular year of events including Strictly Wandsworth, the Wandsworth Arts Fringe, Urban Flow, Liberty Festival, and the grand finale event The Beat Goes On at Battersea Power Station. The cultural energy and community connections built during that year continue to shape what's on across the borough in 2026 and beyond.
